My work is born out of a combination of intuition and circumstance, an ebb and flow between myself and the work of art. I engage in a contemplative conversation as I attempt to bring to fruition a form that feels subconscious and independent from myself. I am looking for something I recognize and at the same time something I have never seen before—an 'open metaphor' that separates or distinguishes itself. My photographs ask questions with regard to the functionality of photography as an individual style of action, capable of an unexpected non-logical or aggregate meaning.
